The event, organized by EPIC (Empowering Positive Initiatives for Change), the Associated Students of Delta College (ASDC), and the Asian and Pacific Islander American Staff Association (APIASA), attracted a diverse crowd of students eager to partake in the festivities and learn about the traditions associated with this important holiday.
The celebration comes on the heels of the college officially recognizing Lunar New Year as a holiday, a move that underscores Delta's commitment to inclusivity and cultural awareness. Ema Fua, an EPIC member and one of the event's speakers, shared insights into the significance of Lunar New Year and the cultural importance of the food served during the holiday.
