At 9am on Saturday, fire crews were dispatched to the 2500 block of W. Washington Street to respond to a fire. Fire Battalion Chief Brandon Doolan reported that the building was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival. The building was located at the Port of Stockton and was a warehouse that was declared a complete loss. Firefighters on the scene were able to prevent the blaze from spreading.

Doolan also stated that the warehouse was vacant at the time of the fire, and he was uncertain whether it was an active business or not. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

As of Sunday, the cause of the fire was still under investigation. The fire department had not yet released any official statement regarding the incident, but it is expected that more information will be available soon.
