LODI, California — Bill Bruneel, a remarkable bank employee at F&M Bank in Lodi, is hanging up his hat after an astonishing 47-year career marked by perfect attendance. Bruneel, who is 75 years old, has never missed a day of work since he started his career at 18, right out of high school.

Throughout his long tenure, Bruneel has become a staple at the bank, known for his reliability and dedication. "I started my banking career when I was 18 right out of high school," Bruneel shared. His impeccable record extends beyond his professional life; he has also never missed a day of school and has been a dedicated Little League baseball coach, never skipping a practice.

Bruneel attributes his strong health and work ethic to his upbringing on a dairy farm, where he learned early the importance of daily responsibilities. "My dad told me, hey if you're not here to do the milking the cows are going to blow up," he reminisced about the lessons from his father that shaped his commitment.

As Bruneel announces his retirement plans, he looks forward to spending more time traveling and being with his family, including his four children and eight grandchildren. "Different things to enjoy being with my wife after all these years," he said, outlining his post-retirement plans.
