Unbound Stockton Community School Opens Doors To Community, Announces Open House Event

Unbound Stockton Community School, a new educational initiative in Stockton, hosted a special event inviting community leaders and organizations to take a first look at its campus. The event, held earlier this week, aimed to establish partnerships and provide opportunities for students to engage in a community-centered learning experience.

School Director Phillip Hon expressed excitement about the school’s mission and the commitment of its team.

“The team that’s been putting the school together has been really committed and really a part of the community,” Hon said. “We are just excited to establish more partnerships and more opportunities for our kids to get a really rich, community-rooted education.”

Open House Event Held on Saturday

Unbound Stockton Community School recently welcomed students and families to explore its new campus during an open house on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event featured free food, activities, and opportunities for families to tour the space.

Currently, enrollment is open for third, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders, with limited spots available for the founding class. Families interested in learning more or applying can visit unboundstockton.org.

“We’re excited to open this space,” Horne said. “We’re excited to show what our Unbound learners and Unbound leaders will do to change our community.”
