Two Suspects Detained After Chase From Stockton To Lodi Ends In Crash

Two suspects are in custody after a police chase that began in Stockton and ended with a crash in Lodi on Wednesday morning. The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident started around 9:40 a.m. when deputies began pursuing a vehicle reported stolen near Hammer Lane and Etna Street in Stockton.

The chase continued into Lodi, where the suspects crashed the stolen vehicle near Mills Avenue and Lake Street. Following the crash, both suspects fled the scene on foot, prompting a search by law enforcement in the area of Mills and Ayers avenues.

Residents in the neighborhood were urged to stay inside as deputies conducted their search. By 11:30 a.m., deputies announced that they had apprehended the suspected driver, while the passenger remained on the run. A few hours later, the second suspect was also detained.

The sheriff's office identified the suspects as Brandon Beatty and Faith Johnson, both of whom will face multiple felony charges. The incident brought a temporary sense of unease to the Lodi community, but the swift response by law enforcement helped bring the situation under control.
