The vibes were right at the San Joaquin Asparagus Festival as it celebrated its 38th year of bringing joy through asparagus, food, live music, and activities to the San Joaquin County this past weekend. The three day event took place over the course of April 12th - April 14th, 2024. Rain or shine, the community was ready to have some fun!
Families and event-goers gathered with excitement as they enjoyed the carnival rides, food, visiting booths, a pageant, and live music. The clouds, the ambience, the rides, all made for a beautiful event!
Asparagus Alley proved to be one of the most popular activities as event-goers crowded the alley in search of event highlight: fried asparagus and asparagus ice cream.
As for us, we had to try the asparagus ice cream! We found ourselves somewhere in between wanting to add it to our nachos and enjoying it with a sweet topping. Not our go to flavor, but definitely a must try.
We learned, cash is our best friend when attending the festival, bags are meant to be in the clear (literally), and we would do it all over again!
