STOCKTON, Calif. — The city of Stockton is gearing up for its 42nd annual Delta Reflections Lighted Boat Parade, a dazzling display of festively decorated boats along the downtown waterfront. Scheduled for December 2 at 5 p.m., the parade is a collaborative effort with the Stockton Yacht Club, as reported by Vicente Vera.

This year's parade, starting at Windmill Cove and moving upriver, is a beloved tradition and a gift to the community from the Stockton Yacht Club and Roger Hahn, a longtime partner of the event. The parade will feature boats of all sizes, illuminated with festive lights, creating a magical spectacle along the waterfront.

Boaters interested in participating can register with a $25 donation, which will be directed to a local charity. This contribution not only allows them to be part of the parade but also supports the community.

Organizers recommend several prime viewing locations, including the north shore behind Banner Island Ballpark, the south shore near the marina and waterfront warehouse, and Weber Point. These spots offer the best views of the parade, which is expected to reach the downtown Stockton Marina and Weber Point around 6:30 p.m., before concluding at Light 39 in the Stockton Deep Water Channel.

This year's parade holds special significance as it is dedicated to the memory of Lynn Hahn, a former member of the Marina West Yacht Club, known for her dedication to the preservation of the San Joaquin Delta.

In conjunction with the boat parade, the City of Stockton will also host its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the same evening. This event promises to be an evening filled with joy, community spirit, and holiday cheer.

Stockton residents and visitors alike are invited to partake in this festive celebration, a wonderful opportunity to gather with family and friends and enjoy the holiday season's beauty.

This article is based on Vicente Vera's report on the upcoming 42nd annual Delta Reflections Lighted Boat Parade in Stockton, a cherished community event.
