In a delightful blend of sports and storytelling, the Chavez Library in Stockton will host an engaging event featuring the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, on Tuesday, January 30.

This special story time, set to captivate children and community members alike, is not just an ordinary reading session. The event will star Kalob Ledoux, a guard for the Stockton Kings, and Tony Gladney, the in-game host for the team. Alongside them, Dunkson, a beloved figure in the Stockton community, will also grace the occasion.

Scheduled from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m., this unique gathering is part of a larger initiative - the Stockton-San Joaquin County Winter Reading Program. The program aims to encourage reading among the youth, and what better way to inspire them than by involving local sports heroes?

Attendees of the event can expect more than just stories. The Winter Reading Program promises exciting rewards, including tickets to Stockton Kings games and even courtside seats, adding an extra layer of thrill to the reading challenge.

The event is not just a treat for young book lovers but also an opportunity for media and fans. Kalob Ledoux and Tony Gladney will be available for interviews and photo sessions, providing a rare chance to interact closely with sports personalities.

Located at 605 N. El Dorado St, the Chavez Library is set to transform into a hub of imagination and inspiration, merging the worlds of basketball and literature.

As the Stockton community gears up for this unique event, it's a reminder of how sports and education can come together to create impactful experiences for the youth.
