Christopher Hernandez, president of the Stockton F.C. and local Stocktonian, discussed discussed the players' time trying out for the F.C. Cincinnati Youth Club. Five local players had the opportunity to try out in hopes of being drafted onto the team of professional athletes. The opportunity for the local Stocktonians came about upon a chance meeting between Hernandez and the F.C. Cincinnati Youth Club Coach. Hernandez emphasized how important networking has been for the Club. The tryout took place from March 12th- March 14th. Hernandez stated no players were selected this time, but hopes remain high as this tryout marked the first of potentially many for local Stocktonian players.
Who is Christopher Hernandez?
Christopher Hernandez is a Stockton local and resident. Having grown up in Stockton, he aims to make a difference through Stockton F.C. and his work in education. Hernandez currently serves as founder and president of Stockton F.C., and is a local teacher. He has been able to raise awareness and recruit youth to the Football Club through actively networking in the community. Within the next 5 years, he would love to see more people engaged with Stockton F.C. and continue his work within the community through partnering with community organizers.
