LINDEN, CA — A swift and coordinated effort by multiple fire departments successfully contained a nearly 50-acre vegetation fire in Linden, San Joaquin County, on Sunday evening. Thanks to the efforts of firefighters from Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department, San Andreas Fire, Mokelumne Hill Fire, Copperopolis Fire, Clements Fire, and Linden-Peters Fire, the forward progress of the fire was halted by 7 p.m. By 10 p.m., the fire was fully contained, though crews remained on scene for mop-up operations well into the late-night hours to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
