STOCKTON, Calif. — Plans to develop a nearly 18-acre site in North Stockton could mean quick access to popular fast food for local residents if the planning commission gives the green light this Thursday. The proposed development on Trinity Parkway, near Scott Creek Drive, is set to include new locations for Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out, and Dutch Bros, alongside a sizable storage facility.
This new development would transform a currently vacant field into a bustling commercial hub. Located just south of an existing McDonald's and a Quick Quack Carwash, the site is strategically positioned to attract both local traffic and visitors. The plans detail drive-through capacities designed to accommodate substantial traffic: 46 cars at Chick-fil-A, 31 at In-N-Out, and 24 at Dutch Bros, indicating expectations of high customer volume.
The addition of a storage facility comprising three two-story buildings near these popular food and coffee chains suggests a dual utility approach—catering to both consumer pleasure and practical needs. However, city officials have not yet provided a timeline for when construction might begin or when the establishments are expected to open.
The planning commission's approval is crucial for the project to proceed. The meeting, scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. at Stockton's City Hall, is expected to draw interest from various stakeholders, including local business owners and residents.
If approved, these would mark the second Chick-fil-A, the third In-N-Out, and the fifth Dutch Bros in Stockton, expanding the city's fast-food landscape and potentially generating significant employment opportunities in the area.
