The Stockton Police Department is actively searching for a mother and her infant daughter, who were last seen leaving their North Stockton residence on Saturday at 8 p.m.

In a public statement released on Sunday, authorities requested the public's assistance in locating 29-year-old Bakhtawar Khan and her one-year-old daughter, Aleena.

Bakhtawar is described as a woman standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Aleena, her infant daughter, is described as weighing 20 pounds and also having brown hair and brown eyes.

The police department is working tirelessly to gather information and follow leads in order to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and her child.
