Did you know there is currently a group of professionals in tech in the area, leading candid conversations to create change within Stockton, California, and beyond?

Google Developer Groups, alongside Women in Tech of the Central Valley, came together this past Saturday morning, April 21, for an engaging event designed to foster candid discussions about women leaders in tech. Representatives from different cities of the Central Valley, including Stockton, gathered as Google Ambassadors to represent their respective areas.

The event celebrated International Women’s Day, featuring women leaders from the Central Valley who shared their stories of resilience, adversity, and success. Panelists from diverse backgrounds in tech, mental health services, and education discussed breaking barriers.

After the first round of panelists spoke, an AI workshop was introduced by Google Ambassadors who are local professionals in tech residing within the Central Valley. Guests were encouraged to use their phones to learn about new technology. Aside from empowering women, children, and advocates, the Google Ambassadors are on a mission to improve education regarding technology, making it readily available for children as young as preschool to start learning.

The event featured laughter, heartfelt stories, and a deep sense of empowerment among attendees. If you are interested in learning how you or your child can get involved, visit the Google Developer Groups Stockton social page to learn more.
