Free Boat Rides And Classic Charm At "Runabouts On The River" Event

Stockton, Calif. — This Saturday, the Stockton Sailing Club will host the 6th annual "Runabouts on the River," a much-anticipated gathering featuring dozens of antique and classic boats. The event, organized by the NorCal/Lake Tahoe chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society, promises a day full of free activities and nautical nostalgia.

Gates open at 9 a.m., with free boat rides commencing at 10 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can look forward to a blend of maritime heritage and modern entertainment, including a unique boat roar-off and river parade scheduled for 3 p.m.

Beyond the boating activities, the event will offer a range of attractions for all ages. The tiki lounge will be available from noon, providing a perfect spot to relax. Additionally, crafts, diverse food vendors, and children's activities will ensure there's something for everyone.

Adding to the ambiance, Tessa Gaye and the Boneshakers will perform live, bringing vibrant tunes to an already lively atmosphere.

Admission to "Runabouts on the River" is free, with complimentary one-hour boat parking available at the guest dock. This event is an excellent opportunity for community members and visitors to enjoy a day by the river, steeped in tradition and fun.
