The Storm has affected many people, Delta Community college falls in line with that description also. Multiple classrooms have been damaged due to all the storms. “Eleven offices and four classrooms located primarily in the Budd and Shima buildings experienced some water damage” from Stocktonia. Thankfully there is no major damage, just carpet and a few computers. Although these repairs to sheet rock and carpets are going to be replaced over the next several months classes were not affected. As well as all this, 17 trees have fallen and the school lost power for two days as the storms were in progress. A final comment from Stockonia’s article ““We’re thankful for our Facilities and Information Technology staff, some of whom had to work during the college’s winter closure to clear debris, unclog drains, etc.,” Breitler said Wednesday. “Spring Semester started this week, and thanks to their efforts, we were able to make sure that classes and services are moving forward and that everyone is safe and dry.”
