A man suspected of connection with three earlier shootings was shot and killed by police officers on Sunday, according to Stockton police.

The incidents may have occurred across two counties - Sacramento and San Joaquin.

Authorities reported that two of the shootings took place in Sacramento County, though the exact locations were not disclosed. A third shooting transpired near I-5 and Turner Road in San Joaquin County. Notably, a silver sedan was associated with each event.

Police later found a vehicle resembling the described silver sedan abandoned on southbound I-5 near Hammer Lane. Shortly thereafter, dispatch received calls about a man brandishing a gun on Mariners Drive, close to Hammer Lane.

When Stockton police officers reached the location, the suspect reportedly started firing at them. In response, officers returned fire, resulting in the suspect's death. All involved officers are confirmed to be unharmed.

The CHP Valley Division is currently investigating the Sacramento County and I-5 Turner Road shootings. There were no reported injuries at the I-5 Turner Road location. However, it remains unclear whether anyone was hurt in the Sacramento incidents.
