Two People Injured in Separate Shootings Early Sunday in Stockton

The first shooting took place just before 1:00 a.m. on the 3000 block of Larchmont Drive. A 24-year-old man was reportedly shot by someone he was with at the time. Less than two hours later, around 2:10 a.m., a second shooting occurred near Eight Mile Road and Regatta Lane. This time, an 18-year-old man was driving when a silver SUV pulled up, and individuals inside fired shots at him. The 18-year-old also sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to the hospital for medical care.
The Stockton Police Department is investigating both incidents. These two shootings add to the ongoing concerns about gun violence in the area, though police have emphasized that the incidents appear to be isolated and unrelated.
