An unexpected power outage left approximately 1,800 residents of Stockton in the dark on Tuesday evening. The blackout, caused by adverse weather conditions, struck a significant area from Panella Park stretching to Highway 99 south, and continued toward East McAllen Road.
According to PG&E's outage map, the power disruptions commenced at approximately 2:15 p.m. Fortunately, by 7:30 p.m., power was restored to the affected neighborhoods, ending an over five-hour-long ordeal for the residents.
While power has been reinstated, PG&E continues to assess the extent of the outage to ensure the grid's stability and possibly avert future disruptions.
