An unexpected power outage left approximately 1,800 residents of Stockton in the dark on Tuesday evening. The blackout, caused by adverse weather conditions, struck a significant area from Panella Park stretching to Highway 99 south, and continued toward East McAllen Road.
According to PG&E's outage map, the power disruptions commenced at approximately 2:15 p.m. Fortunately, by 7:30 p.m., power was restored to the affected neighborhoods, ending an over five-hour-long ordeal for the residents.

While power has been reinstated, PG&E continues to assess the extent of the outage to ensure the grid's stability and possibly avert future disruptions. The utility emphasized that the weather played a pivotal role in causing the blackout, though specifics about the precise meteorological conditions leading to the outage have yet to be detailed.

Residents are advised to keep essential items like flashlights, candles, and portable chargers on hand, especially during unpredictable weather, to better prepare for potential future power interruptions.
