Texas Woman Stands Up to Security Guard Who Allegedly Threatened Black Trans Woman Outside Store — “This Energy Is What This World Needs”
FAIRFIELD, TX – A Texas woman is being hailed as a hero after she confronted a store security guard who allegedly followed, threatened, and nearly attacked a Black trans woman outside a local thrift shop.
The dramatic encounter, recorded and shared by TikTok user @texacalicowgirl, took place outside a Thrifty Bargain store in Fairfield, where witnesses say the guard tried to prevent the woman from leaving the parking lot and even pulled out a stick as if preparing to strike.
“Myself and another Black woman made sure she made it to the bus stop safely,” the witness wrote. “He tried to prevent her from leaving the lot and threatened to use everything in his vest to attack her. What were you gonna do to her at that empty bus stop?!”
“You Will NOT Attack Anybody — Especially Not a Black Woman”
The bystander said she initially waited in her car, hoping the situation would calm down — until the guard’s aggression escalated. That’s when she stepped in.
@texacalicowgirl Thrifty Bargain Fairfield…do better. Myself and another black woman made sure she made it to the bus stop safely. Top Flight security here, tried to prevent her from leaving the parking lot and threatened to use everything in his vest to attack her. Then he followed her to the bus stop. What were you gonna to her at that empty bus stop?! I sat in my vehicle and tried to let the incident die down until he took his stick out. I always carry big designer bags and I’ve never been searched or asked to open them. Once he made it back in the store he approached me. You will NOT attack anybody..an ESPECIALLY not a black woman and expect me to watch! @Dominique Morgan look at this. SMH. I’ll make a follow-up video later. #lgbtq #bayarea #fyp #trans #blacktiktok
“Once he made it back in the store, he approached me,” she recalled. “You will NOT attack anybody — and especially not a Black woman — and expect me to watch.”
The woman then confronted the guard directly, recording the exchange and demanding that he explain his actions.
“You need to go to some sensitivity training,” she told him. “Whether you thought she was stealing or not, you should’ve called the police and handled it completely differently.”
The guard defended himself by saying the store’s policy prohibited large bags inside. He claimed the shopper had “smacked [his] phone out of [his] hand.”
Still, the woman wasn’t convinced.
“You should have called the police,” she said firmly. “But you shouldn’t have pulled that stick out like you were fixing to beat her.”
“I Have Nothing To Do With Yesterday, Sir”
During the confrontation, the guard tried to deflect responsibility by referencing an unrelated incident.
“Yesterday, I got beat up,” he told her.
Unmoved, she replied,
“I have nothing to do with yesterday, sir. I have nothing to do with yesterday.”
When the conversation ended, the woman told followers she planned to report the guard’s behavior to the store.
Social Media Praises Her Courage
The video quickly spread across TikTok and X, drawing thousands of supportive comments.
“Thank you SO much for standing up!” one person wrote. “Trans Black women go through so much more violence than the rest of us.”
Another praised her bravery, saying,
“This energy is what this world needs.”
Users flooded the comments with gratitude and admiration:
“This is allyship and Black sisterhood,” one person wrote.
Another said, “Now this is how Black women need to step behind each other!”
One viewer summarized the mood perfectly:
“It was fate that you happened to be there to protect her — he was itching for a reason to harm her. Thank you for not being a bystander.”
