Republish Our Stories

Fat City Feed's mission is to inform and inspire our community by highlighting stories about Stockton’s people, culture, and innovations. We aim to make our stories as accessible as possible and encourage their republication—for free. If you’d like to republish our content, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Credit Fat City Feed
You must credit us for our work. For example: “By [Author’s Name], Fat City Feed.” If you’re publishing online, please embed a link to our website’s homepage.

  2. Include a Credit Line
Every reproduction must include this credit line at the end of the story:
“This story was originally published by Fat City Feed [insert link to original story], an independent news organization dedicated to covering the stories of Stockton.”

  3. Editing for Style
You can make minor changes to fit your publication's style. However, if you make significant edits—such as adding additional reporting—you must include the following note: “Additional reporting by [Your Organization’s Name].”

  4. Retain Links
All hyperlinks included in the original story must remain intact in your version.

  5. Use Our Tracking Pixel
Please include the republication tracking pixel, which will be available when using our republish button on the website.

  6. Metadata Guidelines
If using canonical metadata, ensure it points back to the original Fat City Feed URL. For more information about canonical metadata, consult Google SEO guidelines.

  7. Photo Permissions
Photos accompanying the stories can be republished unless credited to external sources (e.g., Getty Images). For such cases, you must obtain permissions directly from the original provider.

  8. Share on Social Media
If you share the republished story on social media, tag us on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) @FatCityFeed.

  9. Responsible Use
We reserve the right to deny, suspend, or limit republication rights if these guidelines are not followed or if the material is presented in a way that misrepresents its intent or context.
