ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA — A 42-year-old Byron man was hospitalized Sunday morning following a two-car crash at the busy U.S. Highway 14 and U.S. Highway 52 interchange in Rochester.
How the Crash Happened
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:58 a.m. A 2023 Subaru Impreza, driven by a 29-year-old woman from Scottsdale, Arizona, was traveling west on Civic Center Drive/U.S. 14 and attempted to turn left onto the U.S. 52 on-ramp.
At that moment, the Subaru was struck by an eastbound 2014 Toyota Camry, driven by the Byron man.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and the Camry’s airbags deployed during the crash.
No Contributing Factors Found
Investigators said that road conditions and alcohol were not factors in the collision. The Mayo Clinic ambulance assisted at the scene.
