LODI, CA – The Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi is gearing up for its 53rd annual pancake breakfast, a beloved tradition that kicks off the Fourth of July celebrations at Lodi Lake. Slated for the morning of Independence Day, the event promises 750 pounds of pancakes and sausage each, accompanied by 200 gallons of orange juice and 50 gallons of syrup to serve an expected crowd of about 3,000 attendees.

Jonell Steckman, the event chair, expressed enthusiasm about the event's long-standing success, stating, "We are honored to host this event every year since it brings so many happy faces out to gather together to celebrate our nation’s birthday."

The breakfast, priced at $12 for adults and $8 for children aged 5-12, runs from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tickets are available at the gate, though advance purchases are recommended at several local businesses.

Following the breakfast, Lodi Lake will close temporarily to set up for the afternoon festivities, which include boat rentals, arts, crafts, and food booths, resuming at 2 p.m. The day will end with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30 p.m., free for all afternoon attendees.

Additionally, the city's Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services department will start the celebrations on July 2 with the "Celebrate America" event at Hutchins Street Square, featuring performances by The Lodi Community Band and The United States Air Force Band.

With a plethora of activities planned, Lodi is set to ensure its tradition of festive and patriotic celebrations continues to thrive, inviting community members to join in the festivities decked out in red, white, and blue.
