California Woman Pretends to Be Cop, Screams She “Owns” Restaurant Staff After Being Denied Free Food — “My Anger Problems Could Never”

CALIFORNIA – Customers at a local California boba shop were stunned after a woman stormed inside, impersonated a police officer, and claimed she “owned” the restaurant staff.

The now-viral video shows the woman pacing in front of the counter, yelling that she works for the police and accusing employees of illegal activity — inside a bubble tea shop.

“Illegal things in a boba shop, of all places?” one commenter joked.

“I Own You”

When staff calmly asked her to show a badge or ID, the woman refused, shouting, “I don’t need to!” and then launched into a bizarre rant claiming she was responsible for keeping the shop open.

“The only reason the cops haven’t shut this place down is because of me!” she yelled.

When employees again tried to de-escalate, she pointed at them one by one and said, “I own you… and I own you.”

Witnesses said the woman then declared, “This is my world,” before being laughed off by the stunned workers.

“My anger problems could never,” one viewer commented. “These employees stayed way too calm.”

Employee Explains What Really Happened

After the video went viral, one of the shop employees who was present commented online to give more context:

“I work there — she asked for free popcorn chicken and leftovers, but we didn’t give her any, so she started being aggressive,” the worker wrote. “We called the cops and she ran away as soon as she heard that.”

Some users speculated the woman may have been under the influence of drugs, with one commenter writing, “Just mething around.”

Internet Reacts: “She Needs Help, Not a Badge”

Reactions poured in online, ranging from disbelief to empathy.

“‘I own you’ is wild,” one user wrote.
Another added, “She’s clearly unwell — cutting mental health services was a mistake.”

However, others said mental health is no excuse for the harassment.

“I’ve got mental illnesses too,” one commenter said. “You can’t just be a bad person and blame it on that.”

Some users also blamed the broader political climate for emboldening erratic behavior.

“This is what America has become,” one person said. “Trump’s America, plain and simple.”

Police Called, Woman Fled Scene

According to employees, police were contacted but the woman left immediately before officers arrived. No arrests have been reported, but staff say they hope she stays away.

“She’s been in here before causing problems,” one worker added. “We just want peace.”
