Over the weekend the Stockton Police reported a potential kidnapping was avoided. The teen suffered minor injuries and is expected to be okay.
Over on Mission Road and Monterey Avenue, Civic District, a 17 year old female was walking home late at night. A hispanic man pulled over offering a ride. The female entered the vehicle, then when she changed her mind the man did not let her out. She then proceeded to jump out of the vehicle, suffering minor injuries. As of now this is all that has been released on the incident.
It is unfortunate that this happened but relieved that this female was okay. As a community we must look out for each other. There are people who do wish to do harm and mask it with kindness.
