Many people have been affected by the storms that have hit California. There has been a declaration of emergency from the White House and if you have been affected this what you need to know:

• Tax payments are now due May 15th
• The IRS will automatically provide filing and penalty relief to any taxpayer with an IRS address of record located in the disaster area.
• California’s relief applies statewide regardless of whether the county was included in the Federal Emergency Declaration
