Stockton Unified Trustees Schedule Special Meeting After Lengthy Session

The Stockton Unified School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday morning after adjourning its regular meeting earlier this week due to time constraints.

The 7-hour meeting, which went past its 10:30 p.m. deadline, included more than four hours of closed session and about two hours of public comment.

Board President AngelAnn Flores acknowledged the excessive number of agenda items and expressed the need to reduce them in future meetings. Due to unfinished business, the board scheduled the special meeting for 7 a.m. Thursday, before its next regular meeting on May 15.

Flores requested patience from the community, as the special meeting time may be inconvenient for many. The meeting will take place at the Arthur Coleman Jr. Administrative Complex on South Lincoln Street and will be live-streamed in both Spanish and English.
