Stockton Resident Pleads Guilty To Drug Trafficking; 10,000 Counterfeit Pills Seized

A local resident, Frank Jonathan Guzman, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges on Tuesday after Stockton police discovered nearly 10,000 counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl in his residence.
The case dates back to 2019 when Guzman sold 500 counterfeit oxycodone pills to an undercover law enforcement agent. Following this transaction, authorities executed a search warrant on his Stockton home, uncovering not just the counterfeit pills, but also 2.8 kilograms of heroin.

According to U.S. Attorneys officials, Guzman faces a severe penalty for his crimes. The 31-year-old could receive a maximum sentence of life in prison along with a $10 million fine.

This high-profile bust highlights the dangers of counterfeit drugs in the community, emphasizing the importance of law enforcement's role in curbing drug trafficking.
