The Stockton Ports started their season strong with a groundbreaking game against the Modesto Nuts. The game took place on Friday April 5th, 2024. The season’s commencement ceremony consisted of a ribbon cutting alongside the Stockton Chamber of Commerce and members of the community.
The Stockton community showed up strong as fans started arriving once the gates opened at 6:30 pm PST. With plenty of food, games, and a special area for children filled with bounce houses – the activities for those who attended were endless.
Mayor Kevin Lincoln was the honorary first pitcher who set the tone for a fun filled night! The Ports started strong, scoring runs but the night ended with the Modesto Nuts taking home the win. Final score being 7 (Modesto Nuts) – 2 (Stockton Ports).
Even though they did not take home the win on their first night, the season has only just begun. We’re rooting for the Stockton Ports!
