The Stockton Kings, NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, secured a 113-107 victory over the South Bay Lakers on Saturday evening at Adventist Health Arena. The win improves Stockton’s record to 6-1, continuing their strong start to the season.
For the South Bay Lakers, Jordan Goodwin and Quincy Olivari each tallied 22 points, with center Christian Koloko contributing 15 points.
The Kings came out strong in the first quarter, shooting 63.2% from the field to take a commanding 33-19 lead. By halftime, Stockton maintained a 54-44 advantage. Despite South Bay’s efforts, the Kings extended their lead by 29 points in the second half before sealing the win.
The Kings will face the Salt Lake City Stars in a two-game series on January 14 and 16 at the Maverik Center. They will then play against the undefeated Santa Cruz Warriors on January 20 at Kaiser Permanente Arena. Stockton returns home on January 22 for an Education Appreciation Night matchup against the South Bay Lakers at Adventist Health Arena.
