Stockton 209 Cares is a nonprofit organization that wants to be there for our community. While they work year round they make sure that the community feels extra merry during the holidays.

In the south side of Stockton this nonprofit organization came to hundreds of kids to make their Christmas special. They gave away toys, bikes, games and much more. Hannah Workman of the Record reported, “Myron Watts's 10-year-old daughter Leilani was one of the first children to receive a present. Watts said he was not familiar with Stockton 209 Cares, but he was happy to see a glimpse of the work the nonprofit is doing for the community.” Many people were moved to tears when they saw how the community was being served by volunteers.

It is always a nice thing to see when our own community gets involved to help those who are in need. To read the full piece of Workman visit The Record.net.
