In January, the San Joaquin County Human Services Agency will host free food distributions across 21 locations as part of its Food For You program. The initiative aims to provide shelf-stable food such as canned vegetables, fruit, rice, and pasta to eligible residents in Stockton, Lathrop, Manteca, Tracy, and other areas.
The first distribution will begin on Thursday, Jan. 2, at Tracy Interfaith Ministries, serving residents of specific ZIP codes. Stockton’s first distribution is scheduled for Jan. 16 at the Boggs Tract Community Center. Participants are required to visit distribution sites corresponding to their ZIP codes, and food supplies may run out before the scheduled end time.
Eligibility for the program depends on residents’ monthly income, which must fall within the provided guidelines. For example, a single-person household cannot exceed $2,949.25, while a six-person household must not surpass $8,217.17.
This program highlights the county’s commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting residents in need. For a full list of distribution locations and eligibility details, visit the county website or contact the San Joaquin County Human Services Agency.
