Power Restored To Thousands In Stockton After Evening Outages

Stockton, Calif. — Thousands of PG&E customers in Stockton experienced an unexpected power outage on Wednesday evening, affecting more than 11,000 residents. The outage, which began around 6:45 p.m., prompted PG&E to work swiftly to restore electricity to the impacted areas.

As of 9 p.m., power has been successfully restored to the affected customers, bringing relief to those left in the dark earlier in the evening.

The outage map from PG&E revealed three separate incidents contributing to the widespread power loss. The most significant outage was concentrated along West Lane, spanning between East March Lane, East Harding Way, and Waterloo Road. Additionally, two other outages, impacting thousands, were situated near the vicinity of Waterloo Road, Highway 99, and East Main Street.

The restoration efforts by PG&E involved addressing each outage separately. Power in the West Lane area is anticipated to be fully restored by approximately 12:45 a.m., while the other two areas are expected to have power returned around 10:30 p.m.

Despite swift action to rectify the situation, the cause of the outages remains unclear at this time. PG&E has not provided specific details regarding the factors contributing to the temporary power loss.
