A high-speed police chase in Stockton led to the arrest of a man on parole and another wanted for armed robbery, ending in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday, as reported by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident began around 5 p.m. on Wilson Way near the diverting canal in Stockton. San Joaquin County deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle whose license plate did not match its registration. The driver, identified as a parolee, chose to flee, prompting a pursuit by law enforcement.

During the chase, it was discovered that the passenger in the fleeing vehicle had an outstanding warrant for a parole violation related to armed robbery. The pursuit came to a dramatic end at the intersection of Hammer Lane and Holman Road when the suspect's vehicle collided with another car.

The driver of the vehicle fleeing law enforcement sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. A civilian passenger in the other vehicle involved in the wreck was also taken to the hospital, though no injuries were reported.

This incident underscores the challenges and risks faced by law enforcement in apprehending individuals involved in serious criminal activities. The prompt and effective response of the San Joaquin County deputies helped in averting a potentially more dangerous situation.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the suspects or the nature of the armed robbery warrant at this time.
