The University of the Pacific's annual Pacific Gives fundraiser witnessed an unprecedented level of generosity this year, raising more than $1.78 million from over 3,500 donors.

This marks a 20% increase in participation compared to 2022, making it the university's largest-ever fundraiser.

Pacific Gives, a 24-hour giving campaign, allows donors to direct gifts of any size to their preferred causes, which immediately impact students. This year marks the third consecutive record-breaking Pacific Gives campaign in terms of both donor numbers and donations.

University leadership saw 100% participation from regents, cabinet members, deans, and the alumni association board. Athletics topped the participation leaderboard with 1,209 donors, followed by the School of Health Sciences with 607 donors, which earned the school an additional $2,500.

College of the Pacific and McGeorge School of Law also had strong showings, with each bringing in over 230 donors.

The funds raised will provide life-changing opportunities for students, including experiential learning, scholarships, and other assistance.

Donations were boosted by dozens of matches and challenges offered by generous donors, supporting initiatives such as the Pacific Food Pantry, the School of Engineering and Computer Science, the Manor Hall renovation project, and the Paul Winters Tournament Challenge.

Though the Pacific Gives campaign is over, donations can still be made year-round on the Pacific Gives website.
