Abigail Christensen, the enthusiastic co-owner of the well-known Headwaters Kayak, remains hopeful that the unfavorable winter weather conditions that have recently struck the Central Valley will clear up in time for her company's highly anticipated 8th annual Paddlefest at Lodi Lake.
As the event draws nearer, she recalls that, in this region, the weather usually becomes more stable and predictable as April approaches.
While the current conditions may seem daunting, Abigail remains confident that the event will go on as planned. She points out that even in 2019, when the area experienced a significant amount of rainfall, the event proceeded without cancellation.
Despite the wet and chilly conditions that have characterized the winter season, Abigail is steadfast in her belief that the weather will ultimately cooperate, allowing for yet another successful Paddlefest. She believes that as the calendar turns to April, the likelihood of continued inclement weather will decrease, paving the way for a memorable Paddlefest experience for all those in attendance.
In the meantime, Abigail and the rest of the Headwaters Kayak team are diligently preparing for the 8th annual Paddlefest, ensuring that all necessary precautions and contingency plans are in place to accommodate any last-minute changes due to weather. They remain dedicated to providing an enjoyable and safe event for their loyal participants, rain or shine.
