A fatal crash occurred in Stockton on Wednesday morning, involving two vehicles on Highway 26 and Alpine Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place just before 11 a.m., involving a silver Infiniti and a white F-250.
CHP Officer Rubin Jones reported that the eastbound Infiniti hit some gravel on the shoulder, causing the driver to lose control and veer into oncoming traffic. The F-250 subsequently collided with the passenger side of the Infiniti as it entered the westbound lane.
It remains unclear whether the Infiniti driver or the truck driver was killed in the accident, and no other injuries have been reported.
The crash is currently under investigation, with authorities yet to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
