We have seen many damages taking over all of San Joaquin County. Streets are flooded, houses are damaged, and people are searching for help. Tracy has called upon the National Guard to offer assistance in preventing flooding.
Steve Large of CBS Sacramento reported “National Guard troops and tactical vehicles turned around inside the San Joaquin River Club community after an evacuation warning was lifted. The community consists of 300 homes and 1,000 people.” It is to be believed that the main flood risk was due to a hole underneath the road. A levee broke sending water into the community. “The county immediately brought in heavy equipment to move boulders in place to fill the break.”
Too much of this flooding has caused severe damages in Tracy. Thankfully this was able to be prevented before something major occurred. What can be done for these situations? Kasson Road in Tracy will remain closed until the road can be repaired. For the full story check out Large’s article. Drive safe, you can not be too careful when it comes to these flooded roads and broken streets.
