The trustees of the Lodi Unified School District expressed that their decision was challenging, but necessary.
At the board meeting on Tuesday, the trustees voted unanimously to shut down Houston School in two years' time. Seventh- and eighth-grade students will relocate to Lockeford School in the upcoming autumn, while the remaining students will transfer to Victor School during the 2024-25 school year.
