Stockton, Calif. — On June 27, the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce held its annual ceremony to both recognize outstanding local businesses and to usher in new leadership for the 2024-2025 term. The event, hosted at a local venue, was a night of commendations and transitions, underscoring the Chamber’s continuous effort to support and develop the business community in Stockton.
The evening saw Jamie Bossuat of Kroloff Law Firm being installed as the Chamber’s President for the upcoming year, marking her as the 14th woman to hold this position since the Chamber’s inception in 1901. Bossuat, along with the newly appointed Chamber officers and board members, will steer the Chamber's initiatives to enhance the local economic landscape.
Scott Grafius, outgoing President from Steele Insurance Agency, was thanked for his commendable leadership during his term. The Chamber also welcomed four new board members who were voted in to serve a three-year term: Jane Chamberlain from the San Joaquin County Office of Education, Gloria Murphy of Diamond Care Inc., Lakh Singh from Hammer Head Security, and Freddie Solari of Haggerty Construction.
Highlighting the evening was the presentation of the 2024 Business Awards. Collins Electrical Company was named Business of the Year, while Midtown Optometry received the Small Business of the Year award. Sandy Stoddard from Hospice of San Joaquin was honored as Business Manager of the Year, and Gabriel Porras from ABC10 was recognized as the Young Professional of the Year. The Children’s Home of Stockton was awarded Non-Profit Organization of the Year.
Special recognitions included Cindy Hodson of UNCLE Credit Union receiving the Sam & Cindy Ward Overall Volunteer of the Year Award, Carol Clemons of Angel’s Caring Helpers as the Chamber Liaison of the Year, and Victor Randolph from KRVR “The River” 105.5 as the Chamber Ambassador of the Year.
The evening also featured a special presentation by Californians Against Retail and Residential Theft (CARRT), which acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Chamber, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, and District Attorney Ron Freitas in developing the Stockton Takes Action Against Retail Theft (STAART) Program.
