Four Shootings Reported Overnight In Stockton, Several Injured

 A series of shootings rocked Stockton between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning, leaving at least four people injured, the Stockton Police Department confirmed.
The first of the shootings was reported at 6:38 p.m. on Tuesday in the Lakeview District on the 6000 block of North El Dorado Street. Officers arrived to find two men, aged 23 and 35, with gunshot wounds. Both victims were rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two vehicles in the vicinity were also hit by the gunfire. In a swift response, police arrested a 19-year-old male in connection to this incident at around 9:30 p.m., but the investigation remains active.

Shortly after, at 8:22 p.m., another shooting occurred in the Seaport District on the 400 block of East Jackson Street. While investigating, officers spotted and stopped a suspect vehicle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of a rifle and ammunition, resulting in the arrest of the male driver on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and other weapons-related charges.

The violence continued into the night with a third shooting reported at 10:50 p.m. in the Park District on the 2500 block of East Lindsay Street. A 19-year-old male managed to get himself to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Lastly, just before 3:30 a.m. in the Bear Creek District, officers responded to reports of gunfire at 1400 Royal Oaks Dr. They found an 18-year-old male with gunshot wounds, who was then taken to a hospital for treatment. Additionally, a nearby home bore the marks of the violent night, having been struck by bullets.

As Stockton reels from this wave of violence, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The motivation behind the shootings and the current condition of the victims remain undisclosed.
