A woman drove up to a random house and dumped a little puppy in someone's yard. That person ended up being Pablo Meza.
Sadly enough many dogs have been wandering around Stockton all over. Some people think this is due to many dog owners going back to work and not having time to spend with their pups. Just recently someone dumped a dog over an 8 ft. fence in SoCal which was a truly heartbreaking sight. Stockton is in a similar position now with people not being attentive and dogs getting loose or simply just being dumped. Outside Meza’s house is a camera that recorded the whole event. The woman drives up to his house, looks around and dumps the 8 week old puppy in the front yard. Meza walked out to his front yard, saw the confused puppy and took it in as his own. Meza spoke about this via an interview by Ashley Sharp of CBS Sacramento saying, “He was really hungry. He's doing way better now."
Meza decided to keep the dog for himself and name it Oreo. Stockton shelters are overflowing right now with dogs who just aren’t getting adopted. We would like to encourage you to report if you see anyone dumping dogs. The woman has not yet been found or charged yet. Sharp’s article is on CBS Sacramento if you would like to read the full story.
