University of the Pacific
It's California's oldest university with a history dating back to its origin on July 10th, 1851. A history of firsts followed, including being California's first university and coeducational facility, and housing the West's first music conservatory. Through the years of 1947 - 1971, the university experienced tremendous growth in its graduate and professional programs as different individual schools, such as the School of Pharmacy and Engineering were founded.
For decades, University of the Pacific has continued to grow, most recently with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability. According to the University website, "For more than 170 years, University of the Pacific has led the way in building healthier, happier communities across Northern California and around the world. Through classroom and volunteer experiences, students, faculty and staff contribute thousands of hours annually to Stockton, Sacramento and San Francisco programs, schools and agencies, providing services in education, health, science, the environment, the arts and more."

Delta College
Another local educational gem! The San Joaquin Delta College has a plethora of programs available for students at a cheaper rate than public and private four-year universities. Different career paths are made available to students in agriculture, arts, communication, health, science, and more. There are currently over 170 degree programs for students to choose from.
Aside from the different career options available, students are also encouraged to engage in student life, with student clubs available for participation. Sports form a part of student life as well, as different sports teams represent the Delta Mustangs. Softball, Track/Field, basketball, volleyball, amongst others, comprise the Delta sports teams.

California State University, Stanislaus
The California State University, Stanislaus has a current Stockton campus. According to information found on their site, "Stanislaus State Stockton Campus is a proponent of higher education's role in improving the economic, social, and cultural life of San Joaquin County."
The Stockton Campus is located in the historic Magnolia District housing the campus office of enrollment services, offices, classrooms, teaching labs, student lounges and more. Stanislaus State was first established in 1974, with thousands of students having attended the Stockton Campus.
