The fall season is here, and so is the Dell’Osso Family Farm Pumpkin Maze! The popular Halloween destination in Lathrop is opening its gates on Friday, October 4, at 501 S. Manthey Rd., ready to bring back spooky fun for its 28th year.
Founded in the 1920s by three Italian brothers, the Dell’Osso Family Farm started as an asparagus farm. Over the decades, it grew to include tomatoes, beans, and alfalfa, and in the mid-1970s, Ron Dell’Osso expanded it further by adding pumpkins and other crops. In 1997, Ron and his wife launched the first corn maze, marking the beginning of the now-famous Halloween event, which attracts around 250,000 visitors each October.
This year, visitors can explore a variety of attractions, including the iconic corn maze, a haunted castle, and a pumpkin patch. The farm also offers pig races, mini golf, the Dell'Osso Express Train, and an animal zoo. Food and seasonal gifts will be available, and pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash.
The farm will be open from noon on weekdays and from 10 a.m. on weekends, with the last entry at 7 p.m. daily. On Halloween, the farm will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets range from $20.95 to $29.95 depending on the day, and children under 2 get in for free.
