The Lodi community is mourning the loss of 43-year-old Nicole Winans, a beloved mother and entrepreneur, who was tragically shot and killed early Friday morning at her home in Woodbridge. The incident has left family, friends, and the local community in shock and grief.

Nicole, a mother of two, was known for her radiant smile, warm personality, and dedication to her family and her work. She owned Salon Envy, a boutique salon in downtown Lodi, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Friends and co-workers describe her as a kind and driven woman who brought light to everyone around her.

"She was a huge part of our lives and an amazing part of the community," said longtime friend Michael Collins. "She was very family-oriented and focused on her children."

The tragedy occurred just hours after Nicole had spent an evening watching the Lodi Parade of Lights with family and friends. Authorities allege that her husband, 50-year-old Shane Winans, fatally shot her during an incident at their home. The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office reports that the couple was in the process of divorcing. Shane has been charged with murder and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Nicole’s passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones. Friends and colleagues are honoring her legacy by sharing memories, lighting candles, and reflecting on the impact she made.

"She was a beautiful person inside and out, and her family was everything to her," said Hilda Loza, a colleague at Salon Envy. "Her kids were her world, and she always worked so hard for them."
