2-Year-Old Boy Injured In Accidental Shooting In Stockton

A 2-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after being accidentally shot in Stockton on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting on North Commerce Street near West Rose Street shortly after 2:30 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, they learned that the young victim had already been taken to a nearby hospital.

Police located the boy at the hospital, where he is currently being treated. Fortunately, officials have reported that the child’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
