STOCKTON, CA — The Emergency Food Bank of Stockton / San Joaquin is gearing up for its largest one-day fundraiser, the 19th Annual Run & Walk Against Hunger, scheduled for Thanksgiving morning. Last year, the event saw nearly 3,000 participants, and this year, the goal is to exceed that impressive turnout.
2023 marks a significant milestone for this family-friendly event, known for its positive community impact. The course returns to the scenic downtown Stockton, offering participants a picturesque view of the city.
Entry Fees and Registration
Participants can choose from various categories, with entry fees structured as follows:
- 5K Individual: $35 until October 31, $45 from Nov 1-22, and $50 on Race Day.
- 5K Groups/Families: $150 for groups of five, $180 for six until Oct 31. Fees increase by $5 per person starting Nov 1 and on Race Day.
- 10K Individual: $35 until October 31, then $45 until Nov 22, and $50 on Race Day.
- Kids .25 Mile Run/Walk: $20 until October 31, then $25 from Nov 1 to Race Day.
Online Entry and Packet Pickup
After registering online, participants will receive a confirmation from It's Your Race. It's advised to check junk mail/SPAM folders for this confirmation, as it's often redirected there.
Packet pickup will be available at Fleet Feet Stockton in Lincoln Center on November 21 and 22, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. As an added incentive, bringing three non-perishable items to the packet pickup will earn you a 15% discount on your total purchase at Fleet Feet for the day.
