13-Year-Old Fatally Shot By Older Brother

Tragedy struck Stockton early Friday morning when a 13-year-old boy was fatally shot by his 16-year-old brother, according to local law enforcement.

The incident, which police are investigating as a possibly negligent discharge of a firearm, occurred around 1:58 a.m. on the 800 block of Flint Avenue.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the younger teen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The victim's older brother has since been detained by police, raising serious questions about how the teenager gained access to the firearm. As the investigation continues, the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident remain unclear.
