The U.S. Postal Office in Stockton was hit by burglars in the early hours of May 9.
The United States Postal Inspection Service confirmed the incident, revealing that the crime occurred around 3 a.m.
In a bid to aid the investigation, the Inspection Service has put up a hefty $10,000 reward for any information that could lead to arrests and successful convictions. Authorities have called on community members to be vigilant and share any potential leads.
Stockton police have released an image of the two suspected burglars – a man and woman. Descriptions suggest the pair could be white or Hispanic.
The man was seen wearing a blue gaiter-style face covering, black beanie with an unknown logo, a white shirt, khaki shorts, a blue hooded jacket, and black athletic shoes. His female accomplice wore a black face mask, a matching black shirt and jacket, pink pants, and pink athletic shoes.
Surveillance footage also managed to capture the vehicle in which the suspects were traveling. It's described as an early 2000s model gray or silver Toyota Corolla, identifiable by its dark-colored rims, lack of a front license plate, and a covered rear license plate.
The Postal Inspection Service has urged anyone with relevant information to step forward. Individuals can reach out to the authorities by calling 1-877-876-2455, referencing case number 4033034, and stating "law enforcement."
