STOCKTON, CA — Thanksgiving preparations just got more affordable for early shoppers at 99 Cents Only Stores. In a recent announcement, the store declared it will offer whole turkeys for just $1 to the first 50 customers this Wednesday. Angelaydet Rocha of The Stockton Record reported this exciting opportunity for those looking to economize their holiday meal.

Customers will be given wristbands on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to one turkey per household. Each turkey weighs at least 14 pounds, making this deal particularly appealing for large family gatherings. The promotion is part of a larger initiative by the store to provide affordable Thanksgiving meal options, including $1 Super Sides.

Notably, 18 of the stores, due to lack of freezer space, will not be offering the $1 turkeys. Instead, these locations will offer a Super Sides Bag on Wednesday. Mike Simoncic, CEO of The 99 Store, emphasized that in times of economic strain and rising inflation, the store remains committed to providing affordable essentials to the community.

In total, around 18,000 turkeys will be available across approximately 400 stores in California and the Southwestern United States. In addition to the turkeys, shoppers can find deals on other Thanksgiving staples like mashed potatoes, stuffing, and blueberries.

Stockton residents can visit the 99 Cents Only Stores at 1120 E Hammer Lane and 1449 W March Lane, among other locations in the region, with most stores opening at 7 a.m. For those in nearby Lodi and Tracy, there are additional store locations participating in this promotion.
